Chemotherapy hair piece made from your OWN HAIR! 

For most women, losing their hair during chemotherapy treatment is a traumatic experience. Hats and scarves are an option, but without your own hair it can feel like your identity has been lost. Essentially Mine is a unique service that gives you back your hair, your personality and your confidence.


With Essentially Mine, pre-chemotherapy, your hair is cut and carefully packaged using the collection box provided. Your hair will then be hand knotted into a frontal hair piece to mimic your existing style. Attached to a comfortable, anti slip band, your hair can be worn with the headwear of your choice.

  • Your hair needs to be a minimum of 8” in length.
  • The frontal hair piece measures 15cm wide by 1.5cm depth.
  • Each strand of your hair will be individually hand knotted onto a premium silk base. 
  • The silk base is attached to an anti slip, adjustable, velvet band that can be worn under your choice of headwear. 
  • 100% comfortable and slip free. 
  • A removable option you can sleep in! 
  • Hair can be cut by your stylist as required.  

 Your hair piece will be delivered to you in approximately 3 weeks from receipt of your hair.

    All stock items, in original (unused) condition, can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. The sender pays return postage. Postage charges will not be refunded.

    Custom made hairpieces and and wigs cannot be returned.

    I do not charge for face to face or remote consultations.

    Yes. I help clients from all over the world. There a lots of tools such as Skype and Facebook that we can use for private consultations. I have even created custom wigs just using email! You will need a tape measure and be prepared to send me a hair sample and photographs. Anything discussed or images sent is strictly confidential.

    This really depends on how you wear your hair, the environment and how well you take care of your hair.

    As a guide, wearing continuously, a fibre hairpiece will last around 4 months for long hair but up to 1 year for short hair. Long fibre hair will frizz quicker as it rubs against your clothing.

    Human hair can last for a year or longer.

    To get a perfect match it’s best to send a tiny sample of hair to me.
